This package contains general utilities for a variety of applications.

Tasks are available in this package to precess coordinates, convert between time formats, create unique file names, artificially change the redshift of spectra, and make the apropos database file.

Utilities for editing image headers are now in the ST4GEM 'toolbox.headers' package.

Utilities for working with tables are in the 'toolbox.ttools' package.

Tasks that support the process of calibrating HST images are in the 'hst_calib.ctools' package.
